Students who face these exams at Trinity don’t just bring music and drama into their lives but they also learn real-world skills for life, on and beyond the stage.
In this event, around 90 students from different grades performed on stage, comprising of a broad scope of subjects in both music and drama and performed either as solo performers, in pairs or as groups.

Students of Trinity College London in Sri Lanka recently showcased their talents at the Top Scorers’ Concert and Awards Ceremony held at the Bishop’s College Auditorium. The event witnessed the participation of students of various age groups who showcased their talents in music, drama and performance arts. The Chief Guest for the evening was the British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Andrew Patrick, alongside many other dignitaries.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Ramola Sivasundaram, Consultant at Trinity College London in Sri Lanka, said that over 500 students received awards and diplomas for their achievements at the recently concluded awards ceremony. The event was held following the 2024 exam season for Trinity College London in Sri Lanka.
“About 90 students representing various grades performed on stage across a broad scope of subjects, both in music and drama, performing as solo, in pairs and as groups. The concert was a showcase of talent and commitment of students, teachers and parents who have the passion and dedication to support and practice their art form day in and day out. The performers represent many other talented students who may have just missed the top score. Everyone who faced a Trinity Exam has consciously decided to make performance arts an integral part of their lives,” she added.
Students who face these exams at Trinity don’t just bring music and drama into their lives but they also learn real-world skills for life, on and beyond the stage. “This is the first step for students to begin their industry-aligned professional training leading to life-changing outcomes, giving them the skills to perform at the highest standard in any role or career path,” Sivasundaram said.
“The annual Top Scorers Concert and Award Ceremony has been organised by us, Trinity College London, Sri Lanka, for over 40 years,” said Renu Samarasinghe, National Representative of Trinity College, London, in Sri Lanka. “It is a much anticipated event every year for many candidates, teachers and parents. The talented performances of the high achievers in Music and Drama seem to get better every year and it is a delight to watch them perform. We congratulate all the awardees on their achievements,” she added.
