Sri Lanka Scout Association supports disaster relief activities

The Sri Lanka Scout Association is actively involved in disaster relief activities during these troubled times and its members have arranged collection centres in more than 20 Scout Districts across the country.  
The Scouting Association states that due to the present disaster flood situation, Chief Commissioner Attorney at Law Janaprith Fernando, Deputy Chief Commissioner M F. S. Muheed along with Asst. Chief Commissioners and Headquarters Commissioners were at Kaduwela on November 30 to check on the scouts who are affected.  
At present Scouts, Scout Leaders and Commissioners not affected are in the process of collecting dry rations, water bottles, blankets, bed linen, toiletries etc. and distributing them to the affected. The Scout District Disaster Response Teams are assisting the evacuation of persons marooned.
