Swiss Embassy Gardens of Sri Lanka Book Launch

The Swiss Embassy had the pleasure of hosting the official launch of ‘Gardens of Sri Lanka - 2,000 Years of Garden and Landscape Design Tradition’ at the Swiss Residence.

This beautifully illustrated volume traces over 2,000 years of Sri Lanka’s rich garden traditions - from ancient Buddhist and royal gardens to Geoffrey Bawa’s modernist creations. Situating them within a global history of landscape design, this is a one-of-a-kind collection.

The book, completed in memory of the late Professor Senake Bandaranayake, was co-authored by Klaus Holzhausen, Shanti Jayewardene, and Senake Bandaranayake.
