UAE says Iran fired drones at oil tanker in Hormuz

Al Jazeera - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) says Iran launched two suicide drones at a tanker affiliated with its Abu Dhabi National Oil Company in the Strait of Hormuz.

“Targeting commercial shipping and using the Strait of Hormuz as a tool of economic coercion or blackmail represents acts of piracy by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps,” the Foreign Ministry said, adding there were no casualties.

“The UAE condemns in the strongest terms the targeting of a national tanker affiliated with ADNOC while passing through the Strait of Hormuz.”
