Worker assaulted at Dematagoda filling station

A filling station worker in Dematagoda, Colombo has sustained multiple injuries after being assaulted by a group of individuals enraged by the refusal to rank up more than the fuel quota approved in the QR code.

Roshanth Eheliyagoda, the owner of the Dematagoda Ceypecto Petrol Shed , told Daily Mirror that  a black shirted motorcycle customer wanted more fuel than QR . 
“Our pumper said no and only the QR amount can be given. Then , the customer on the motorcycle  started using bad language and abused my pumper. 


Another pumper said he will pump the QR volume only but the customer after getting his fuel attacked the pumper. The other staff came to their colleagues’s aide and to stop the fight. The motorcycle customer threatened all the staff that they will come back and "take care of them,”he said.


Later , he said the customer had come with a gang and attacked the pumper causing him injuries .The victim has now been hospitalized.
