Spot tender advertised to receive 300,000 MT of coal: Energy Ministry

• A fixed price should be quoted in US$ or LKR with a minimum of 180 days credit period

A spot tender has been advertised by the Power and Energy Ministry to receive a quantity of 300,000 MT of coal from local or international coal suppliers to be supplied to the Lakvijaya power plant.  

A special standing cabinet- appointed procument committee of the Ministry invites bids for the supply of coal for the 900 MW Lakvijaya Coal Power Plant.  

The invitation is extended by the Lanka Coal Company.

 Accordingly, the contract period for providing coal is from October to December 2022.  

A fixed price should be quoted in US$ or LKR with a minimum of 180 days credit period. The deadline for the submission of the application is 10.00 am on October 20.
