New Cabinet to go without privileges -PM

• MPs cannot ask for fuel during non sitting weeks in Parliament

 With the view of easing public expenditure; the new Cabinet Ministers of the Government will forego ministerial salaries while a limit will be placed on other benefits enjoyed to date, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe told Parliament yesterday.

Prime Minister said MPs cannot ask for fuel during non sitting weeks in Parliament the Prime minister added as response to questions raised by MPs in Parliament,.   

Some People spend Rs 50,000 to purchase food therefore we are looking at doing some thing about it.   
“ Also I must say that the new cabinet which is to be appointed will forego perks”
