Ven. Galboda Siri Gnanissara Memorial Scholarship Trust Fund launched

The Venerable Galboda Siri Gnanissara Memorial Scholarship Trust Fund ‘Nena Isura’ was launched yesterday. It was done to enliven the legacy of Ven. Gnanissara Thera’s social and educational services carried out when he was alive as the Chief Incumbent of Gangaramaya Temple in Colombo.   

At this event Master Shi Fa Zhao, Chief Incumbent of the Golden Pagoda Buddhist Temple and the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in Singapore who made a generous donation of US $ 500,000 to the fund was conferred with Viswa Keerthi Sasana Mamaka Maha Danapati award.  PIC BY JAYAMAL CHANDRASIRI
