Tree falls at International School in Gampola killing five year old child

The tree adjacent to the children’s play area  had fallen on them due to winds, experienced at that time

A five-year-old student was killed and three other students were injured when a tree collapsed on them at an international school in Gampola.  
Police said another student who was in a critical condition has been admitted to the General Hospital, Kandy.  

They said the tree adjacent to the children’s play area  had fallen on them due to winds, experienced at that time, initial investigation revealed while some 30 students of the nursery section, were playing beneath the tree.
