Speaker to reveal inside details of Aragalaya on Wednesday

• He is to reveal how some politicians pressed him to illegally take over the Presidency

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena who is going to face a no confidence motion on Tuesday and Wednesday is to reveal inside details on Aragalaya including how he was pressed by some politicians to take over the presidency in violation of the constitution.   

 Speaker’s Media Secretary Indunil Yapa Abeywardena told Daily Mirror that he will reveal these facts and some other recent happenings in a special statement in Parliament after the vote is taken up on the no faith motion against him.  
The Spokesman from the Speakers office told Daily Mirror that he has decided to make a special statement as he cannot participate in the debate as per the standing orders.
