Security beefed up at State Universities

The Education Ministry has requested the Secretary of the Public Security Ministry to ensure special security measures for the safety of state university lecturers, students and non-academic staff, as well as for the protection of public property.   

Following the instructions of Minister Susil Premajayantha, Education Ministry Secretary J.M. Thilaka Jayasundara issued a letter yesterday requesting to ensure the safety of the state university system.
