SF to be sidelined?

Former Army Commander General Daya Ratnayake has joined  Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) and has been appointed as party’s senior  adviser of state affairs, Opposition Leader’s office said.  General Ratnayake obtained his membership and the position of the party from Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa.

 He headed the infantry force of the Sri Lankan Army during the  civil war and was responsible for rehabilitating ex-LTTE combatants.  General Ratnayake is the second Army commander to join SJB party  Chairman, Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka also held the post during the time  the war ended. Field Marshal Fonseka was not present at the “Ranaviru  Samuluwa’ which was held in Kegalle.


 It is reported that Fonseka is  beginning to get sidelined in the party.
