PM to make a special statement on IGP today

Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardene is expected to make a special statement in Parliament today on the order issued by the Supreme Court barring the IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon from functioning.   

Sources said the Premier will come up with the government’s stance on the matter during his statement today. He is also expected to reveal inside information on the issue pertaining to the matter
