Gangster Manna Roshan’s brother killed in shooting at Hanwella

• Victims were travelling in a cab when the shooting occurred

A 31-year-old man was killed and another injured following a shooting at Niripola in Hanwella yesterday morning.   

Police said the deceased was identified as the brother of underworld gangster ‘Manna Roshan’.   The shooting occurred when the victims were travelling in a cab in the Niripola area.    

The injured were admitted to the Avissawella Hospital where one of the victims succumbed to his injuries.   
The deceased is a resident of Niripola and the Hanwella Police are investigating the incident.   

In December last year, underworld figure Roshan Indika alias ‘Manna Roshan’ was shot -dead at Tunnana in Padukka.   

Investigations have revealed that an underworld figure  named ‘Kannadi Thilina’ carried out the shooting under the direction of  Lalith Kannangara, an underworld strongman involved in drug trafficking,  who lives in Dubai.
