Electricity rates raised by 66%

Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) announced yesterday that they had received approval from the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) to increase the electricity tariff from today.
Accordingly, the electricity tariffs would be increased by 66%, the CEB said. A discussion is to be held at CEB in this regard today.
