Dinesh ’s PUFA part ways from RW

decides to contest general election under a common symbol

The People’s United Freedom Alliance, (PUFA) the political movement led by former Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena ,decided to contest the general election under a common symbol,according to a letter signed by its General Secretary Dr.Ramesh Pathirane .  

The party’s executive committee had taken the decision yesterday,according to the letter. The party had backed former President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the last presidential election .
Mr.Wickremesinghe’s United National Party(UNP) will contest the election under the gas cylinder symbol along with the People’Alliance.
