Debt restructuring to be completed in April, President seeks cross party agreement on implementation

President Ranil Wickremesinghe will initiate a dialogue for cross party agreement on the implementation of the debt restructuring agreement which is expected to be concluded by April , this year , Daily Mirror learns .  

 United Republican Front ( URF) leader Patali Champika Ranawaka who called on the President as part of his engagement with the leaders of the political parties on his new plan of work made a request to this effect recently as otherwise implementation would be problematic in case of a government change in the future.

The President is reported to have agreed to have such a dialogue . He also expressed confidence that debt restructuring could be concluded by April .
