Around 80 Buddhist monks from Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka commenced a Pindapatha Charika today (07), traveling from Tissamaharama to Nagadeepa, Jaffna. The 30-day pilgrimage will span approximately 600 km. The images capture the monks passing through Tissamaharama town on the first day of their journey. Pix by Nisal Baduge
