Maroons limited over ends in no decision

The annual 48th Battle of the Maroons limited-over encounter between traditional rivals Ananda and Nalanda played at the SSC ground ended in a no decision with the match being called off early due to rain.
Nalanda, in their run chase of 250 runs, was able to face only 12.2 overs and was on 62 for 2 during stoppage.
Earlier, Ananda, invited to take first lease of the wicket, was helped by useful knocks by Kenul de Zoysa, Nethula Edirimanne, and skipper Ashinsa Nainayake, and made a modest score of 249 for 9.
