‘Clean Sri Lanka’ Sri Pada clean-up drive launched

A joint initiative by ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ and the Ministry of Environment began yesterday (25) to safeguard the Sri Pada (Adam’s Peak) ecosystem and enhance facilities for pilgrims. Under the leadership of the Sri Lanka Army and Special Task Force (STF), the special clean-up operation targets accumulated waste, especially in hard-to-reach areas around Siripa Maluwa, and will continue until 29 November.
