Chief Incumbent of the New York Long Island Buddhist Meditation Centre Ven. Kottawe Nanda Thera was felicitated for his services and honoured with the Shashanabhimani Vishvakirithi Vibhushana title and appointed as Chief Sanghanayake of the Mahavihara Siamese Wanawasa Faction.

A Sri Lankan resident in Long Island in New York Don Laxman Jayamaha was felicitated for his services to the Buddha Sasana was honoured with the award of Deshamani Lankaputra title .
