ICC Chair Maria Fernanda Garza to visit Sri Lanka

The ICC, representing 170 countries, with a corporate membership of 45 million companies, is the largest and most influential business organisation globally. It is the only chamber to be represented in the United Nations, World Trade Organisation and World Intellectual Property Organisation. 

Her first visit to Sri Lanka will encompass meetings with business and government leaders. Anthony M. Shanil Fernando, who heads ICC Sri Lanka, expressed enthusiasm for Garza’s visit. ICC Sri Lanka has played a pivotal role in fostering business growth and global connectivity in the nation for over the past 68 years in Sri Lanka. 

Speaking on Garza’s visit, Fernando said, “Garza’s commitment to the global business community has earned her a prominent position in the international business arena. Her extensive experience underscores her dedication to business ethics and corporate governance standards.” During her visit, Garza will meet with key officials. She will also meet with the ICC Sri Lanka leadership, including Hemakumara Gunasekera as Secretary, Manisha Rajanayake as Treasurer and ICC Sri Lanka immediate past Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody, who currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Investment Sri Lanka.
