Freight forwarders hold 42nd AGM

The Sri Lanka Logistics & Freight Forwarders’ Association (SLFFA) held its 42nd Annual General Meeting on September 15th at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo. 
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Major General (Rtd.) G. A. Chandrasiri, Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited and the Guest of Honour Kingsley Bernard, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Sri Lanka Export Development Board.

Channa Gunawardena, Director/ CEO of Expelogix (Pvt) Ltd was appointed as the incoming Chairman for the period 2023/2024 whilst Andre Fernando, Managing Director of MAC Supply Chain Solutions (Pvt) Ltd and Shavindra Dias, Managing Director of Foreway Logistics (Pvt) Ltd were elected as Vice Chairman and 
Treasurer respectively. 

The Executive Committee elected for the period 2023/2024 comprises of Aitken Spence Cargo (Pvt) Ltd, DHL Global Forwarding Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Expolanka Freight (Pvt) Ltd, Famous Pacific Shipping Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Freight Links International (Pte) Ltd, GAC Logistics (Pvt) Ltd, Salota International (Pvt) Ltd, Scanwell Logistics (Pvt) Ltd, Shermans Logistics (Pvt) Ltd and Speedmark Transportation Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.  
The incoming Chairman in his speech congratulated the outgoing Chairman, Dinesh Sri Chandrasekara and the Executive Committee on completion of an excellent tenure marked with many accomplishments.
