Trade unions protest against SLT privatisation

Trade unions belonging to Sri Lanka Telecom PLC yesterday staged a protest in Colombo Fort against the proposed privatisation of the company. The Budget 2023 proposed to divest government’s holdings in SLT, Sri Lanka Insurance and several others to build up the country’s foreign reserves.
