Speaker endorses certificate on VAT (Amendment) Bill

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana on Wednesday endorsed the certificate on the Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill.

Accordingly, Value Added Tax (Amendment) Act will come into effect from December 14, 2022, the Communications Department of Parliament said.

The Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill was passed in parliament with a majority vote with amendments
recently.
