SL tourism offering showcased to Belgian travel professionals

The Sri Lanka Embassy in Brussels recently hosted a tourism promotion workshop in Antwerp, Belgium, titled ‘Discover Sri Lanka: Unveiling the Island’s Beauty in Belgium’, last week, to showcase the island nation’s beauty to Belgian travel professionals. 
Over 80 participants, including tour operators, travel agents, bloggers, influencers, journalists, TV professionals and airline representatives, attended.
The event was addressed by Antwerp Province Governor Cathy Berx, who praised Sri Lanka’s efforts in promoting tourism. Sri Lankan Ambassador to Belgium Grace Asirwatham provided an overview of Sri Lanka’s diverse landscapes, cultural heritage, wildlife, nature reserves and wellness tourism and Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Antwerp Monique De Decker highlighted adventure tourism and shopping in Sri Lanka, emphasising the warmth of the people.

Andrews Travels Managing Director Mahen Kariyawasan discussed accommodation options and connectivity to Sri Lanka, emphasising its affordability.
