Indian CEO Forum engages Dr. Shashi Tharoor

Awarded by the World Economic Forum as Global Leader of Tomorrow, Dr. Shashi Tharoor, who is a distinguished diplomat, author and former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, visited Sri Lanka early November 2023 and in a momentous occasion was hosted by the Indian CEO Forum (ICF).

Dr. Tharoor participated in a gathering of influential leaders from the business community in Colombo, sharing his invaluable insights and experiences.

During the event, Dr. Tharoor drew from his extensive experience at the United Nations to discuss critical issues and challenges facing both the global community and Sri Lanka. He highlighted several key points and offered suggestions for the improvement and betterment of Sri Lanka’s future. Dr. Tharoor’s visit was a remarkable opportunity for the local business leaders to gain from his vast reservoir of knowledge and wisdom.

The ICF  has made significant support to the Sri Lankan economy by way of bringing substantial investments into the country, export earnings, employment generation and building the brand of Sri Lanka to the outside world while making a significant contribution to the local economy. The ICF, known for its commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration between India and Sri Lanka, was delighted to have Dr. Tharoor as an honoured guest. His insights into international diplomacy, sustainable development and global affairs provided valuable guidance to the ICF’s members and guests.
