David Pieris Automobiles (Pvt.) Ltd, the four-wheeler sales arm of the David Pieris Group of Companies, has entered into a strategic partnership with Commercial Bank of Ceylon to introduce specially structured leasing solutions for the GWM and BAIC range of vehicles in Sri Lanka.
This collaboration reinforces the shared commitment of both organisations to deliver greater value, accessibility and convenience to the customers within Sri Lanka’s evolving automotive market.
The partnership introduces flexible, affordable and customer-centric leasing options for a range of GWM and BAIC vehicles marketed by David Pieris Automobiles. Under this arrangement, Commercial Bank will extend leasing facilities through its islandwide branch network to part-finance the purchase of selected vehicle models. The customers will benefit from attractive interest rates, concessions on documentation charges and the added advantage of a complimentary credit card with the first-year annual fee waived. Repayment schedules can also be customised to align with individual income patterns, enabling customers to manage their finances with greater ease and sustainability.
David Pieris Automobiles, which markets the BAIC range, including BAIC X55, BAIC BJ30 and BAIC BJ40 as well as GWM models such as Haval H6 HEV, H6 PHEV, H6 GT PHEV, TANK 300 HEV, TANK 500 HEV and ORA electric vehicles in Sri Lanka, will complement the financing offer with a range of value-added benefits. These include free vehicle registration and two labour-free services, enhancing the overall ownership experience for customers.
The partnership is further underpinned by comprehensive manufacturer-backed warranties across the promoted models. The GWM hybrid and plug-in hybrid range is supported by engine warranties of up to six years or 200,000 kilometres, depending on the model, alongside battery warranties extending up to eight years or 160,000 kilometres, reinforcing long-term reliability and peace of mind. The BAIC models featured in the promotion carry engine warranties of three years or 100,000 kilometres.
The joint promotion will run until January 30, 2027 and is expected to strongly appeal to the customers seeking financial flexibility and enhanced value in vehicle ownership. Through this partnership, David Pieris Automobiles and Commercial Bank reaffirm their commitment to delivering innovative mobility and financing solutions that support the aspirations of Sri Lankan motorists.
