China Lanka Motors launches Honri EVs in Sri Lanka

China Lanka Motors recently launched Honri Electric Vehicles at its showroom located in Malabe, marking a significant step towards making electric mobility more accessible in Sri Lanka.
The launch event was attended by Deputy Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs Sunil Watagala, Jason Wang, Director – Exports of Honri, Former Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara and Priyantha Kannangara, Chairman of China Lanka Motors, along with members of the Board of Directors and distinguished guests.
Honri EVs are designed to offer a practical, affordable, and efficient solution for modern urban mobility. With a compact design, energy efficiency, and user-friendly features, these vehicles are ideal for daily commuting and city driving. 
The launch also introduced a new concept to the Sri Lankan market -“My First Car… Our Second Car”, aimed at making vehicle ownership more attainable for a wider segment of customers.
China Lanka Motors aims to support the growing demand for sustainable transportation by offering reliable electric vehicles backed by strong after-sales service and customer care. The company’s vision is to make electric mobility a practical part of everyday life in Sri Lanka.
Honri also showcased its latest electric vehicle models at the EV Motor Technology Show 2026, held from March 27 to 29 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).
