The Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA) will conduct the ‘Budget Highlights 2026 – Budget and Taxation Proposals and Impact on Economy, Business and Society’ on Tuesday, November 11, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., via Zoom.
This CPD programme for CMA members and non-members offered free of charge, provides the participants with an opportunity to earn CPD credits while gaining valuable insights into the National Budget 2026 and its implications for businesses, the economy and society.
The session will commence with welcome and opening remarks by CMA Sri Lanka Founder President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala.
The programme will feature expert presentations on key aspects of the budget:
A panel discussion and Q&A session will follow, moderated by CMA Taxation Committee Chairman and Council Member Puvendran Gajendra and Union Bank of Colombo PLC and Employers’ Federation of Ceylon Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody.
The distinguished panel will include leading business and professional personalities: Brandix Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd Manging Director Hasitha Premaratne, DSI Group of Companies Emeritus Chairman Dr. D. Kulatunga Rajapakse, Deloitte Sri Lanka and Maldives Tax Partner Charmaine Tillekeratne, Senior Prof. Buddhi Marambe of University of Peradeniya, CMA Cost and Management Accounting Standards Board Chairman Mahendra Jayasekera, Capital Maharaja Organisation Group Director Shan Weerasekera, INSEE Cement CFO Chandana Liyanage and Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka Deputy DG Kanchana Siriwardena.
The event will conclude with expert comments and vote of thanks by CMA Sri Lanka Vice President H.M. Hennayake Bandara.
