Abeysekera gets re-elected as SLBBC President

The 23rd Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka – Benelux Business Council was held on 11th August  at The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. The Council, which focuses on the objectives of ‘promoting investment, trade and joint venture between Sri Lanka and Benelux’, is one of the twenty One bilateral business councils that functions under the aegis of the Ceylon Chamber 
of Commerce. 

P.M Abeysekera, Trade Representative, Limako Suiker Bv was elected as President of the Council for the year 2016-2017. He mentioned that the Council is heading towards its 25th year of service in 2017 and the need to be pro-actively support the trade, investment & tourism within the Benelux Business Companies in Sri Lanka and SLBBC will serve as a recognized representative of the business sector interests in Sri Lanka. 

Deepal Jayamanna, Director, Mercantile Produce Brokers (Private) Limited  and Dr  E M B Daniel, Director of Promising Products Company were appointed as Vice Presidents respectively.  Jayantha Panabokke, Managing Director, Mahaweli Reach Hotels Ltd will be the Immediate Past President.
The Executive Committee elected comprised Nigel Austin of Nisol Diamonds (Pvt) Ltd, Sega Nagendra of Travelserve Limited, Mahen Kariyawasan of Andrew The Travel Company (Private) Limited, Ranee Ratnayake of A And A International (Opticians), Sajith Wijenayake of Aitken Spence Travels (Pvt) Ltd and Derrik Williams of Walkers Tours Ltd
