Vehicle importers insist policy consistency

Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayke met with the motor vehicle importers on Saturday in an attempt to provide solutions for their grievances. The prices of motor vehicles have soared with the increase of import taxes and the method of their calculation. Importers who attended the meeting told Mirror Business that they did not expect the government to reduce taxes but to keep the import tax policies at least for years, ensuring policy consistency and market stability.
