JVP- affiliated CEB trade union leads demonstration

JVP-affiliated Ceylon Electricity Board Employees ‘Union demonstrated today against the alienation of 40 percent of shares of Lakdhanavi power company to New Fortress Energy Company of the United States . These shares were otherwise held by the treasury. Its convenor Ranjan Jayalal threatened to go for a strike unless the government scraps its plan in this regard.
