Uni. of J'Pura to open tommorow

The University of Sri Jayawardenapura will be opened for academic activities from tomorrow. The University was closed indefinitely after the students agitated in the wake of a petrol bomb which damaged a statue within the premises. The decision to re-open the university was taken after a meeting was held between the administrative union and the student representative of the university. The University provides education to around 12,000 students. All faculties will commence their academic activities from tomorrow (January 23). (HF)
