Rs.2.5mn missing from Bank ATM

Ambalangoda police initiated investigations on a complaint lodged by the Ambalangoda Peoples bank over fraudulent alleged robbery of Rs.2,513,900 from the bank’s ATM this evening, police said.

The incident was reported after the discovery of the missing money while the ATM was being repaired. Ambalangoda police suspected that, this maybe an internal fraud. (Yasas P. Mendis)
