Report on Vaas’ iPad submitted to AG

The CID informed the Colombo Magistrate courts today that it had submitted a report on the iPad used by former DIG Vaas Gunawardena to the Attorney General.

ASP Shani Abeysekara informed court that the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) had received a report from the University of Colombo on the iPad used by the Gunawardena.

However, the former DIG who is a suspect in the murder of businessmen was not produced in court today after the prisons officials said that he was receiving treatment at the prisons hospital.

Seven suspects including the former DIG’s son were further remanded. The case is to be heard again on December 17.
