UNP reformists who fired their first shot against the party leadership after the recently concluded local government election today said the leadership cannot claim credit for the party’s success at the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC).

UNP Reformist member and member of the Southern Provincial Council Maithri Gunaratne told a news conference today that the victory for the UNP in the CMC was obvious as the mixed population within the Colombo City had always been with the UNP. (Yohan Perera )
