Polish woman drowns in Aluthgama

A Polish woman has drowned in the Moragolla seas in Aluthgama while swimming with her husband on Saturday evening.

The 53-year-old victim was identified as Elizebieta Wesolowska, police media spokesman Ajith Rohana said.

The body recovered by Navy divers was handed over to the Aluthgama police on Saturday night. The couple had been holidaying in the island and was staying at a hotel in Moragolla. (Supun Dias)
