Opposition meets with Blake

The UNP met with Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Robert O. Blake on Monday and held discussions on the political situation in the country, according to UNP Deputy Leader Karu Jayasuriya.

“We discussed the situation in the north and the present political situation for about an hour. It was a very frank exchange of views,” he said.

Jayasuriya led the delegation comprising National Organiser Ravi Karunanayake, Managala Samaraweera and Sagala Ratnayake. (Dianne Silva)
