Motion regarding Gota’s FR petition at the SC today

A motion filed by the Attorney General regarding the Fundamental Rights Petition filed by former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa will be taken up before the Supreme Court this afternoon.

The case will be heard before justices Eva Wanasundara and Sarath De Abrew.

Earlier the court granted interim relief preventing Rajapaksa from being arrested by any state agency.

The contents of the motion are yet to be confirmed. (LS)
