Mano Wijeratne passes away

Former Minister Mano Wijeratne passed away today, sources say. The former Kegalle District Parliamentarian was receiving treatment in Singapore at the time of his death.

He was also a former UNP organiser for Dedigama and crossed over to the UPFA in 2006 along with 16 other MPs and was appointed Minister of Enterprise Development. He continued to function as the UPFA organiser for Dedigama.

He was appointed Presidential Advisor after the last General Election.The funeral will be held at the General Cemetery in Borella tomorrow.
