Man who rode bike on expressway arrested

A man was arrested for riding a bicycle on the Katunayake expressway and released on bail after being produced in the Negombo Magistrate’s Court, police said.

He had allegedly entered the Expressway on his bicycle through the Katunayake entry point and proceeded upto the Seeduwa exit point.

The two policemen who were on duty at the place of entry at Katunayake were interdicted for negligence of duty, police said.
