Video: Khuram Shaikh trial re-fixed to March

The six accused in the murder of British aid worker Khuram Shaikh were granted bail by the Colombo High Court based on the bail granted by the Tangalle Magistrate’s Court earlier.

The trial was re-fixed to March 26.

Colombo High Court judge Kumuduni Wickremeasinghe however ordered suspects who did not provide valid sureties to submit them on January 9. When the case was taken up today, certain suspects failed to provide valid sureties.

Six suspects including the Chairman of the Tangalle Pradeshiya Sabha are accused of the murder of British aid worker Khuram Shaikh at a hotel in Tangalle in December 2011 while on a holiday.
