12-hour water cut in Colombo

A 12-hour water cut would be imposed in several areas of Colombo from 12 noon to 12 midnight tomorrow (16) due to maintenance work at the Kalatuwawa Water Treatment Plant, the Water Supply and Drainage Board said.

Accordingly, the water supply will be suspended in Maharagama, Boralesgamauwa, Kottawa, Pannipitiya, Homagama, Rukmalgama, Pelenwatta, Mattegoda, Godagama, Meepe, Hanwella, Kaluaggala and Padukka areas.

The water board said water supply in the Kaduwela area would be provided under low pressure.
