External Affairs Minister Professor G.L. Peiris met the Jordanian Prime Minister Dr. Awn Khasawneh and the Minister of Defence in Amman.

This comes in the light of his lengthy tour visiting countries to gain support for the forthcoming United Nations Human Rights Council sessions where it is expected that the US will sponsor a resolution against Sri Lanka. (SR)
