French national released

The French national arrested on Wednesday for trying to enter Jaffna without valid documents has been produced at the Vavuniya courts and released according to Police Spokesperson S.P Preshantha Jayakody.

The man, identified as Henry Pollard had been arrested in Omanthai at a checkpoint, after it was discovered he was carrying fake documents. (KA)
