Fraud in Matale police

Two woman police constables and a home guard were interdicted for their alleged involvement in a fraud in the Matale Police Headquarters. They are alleged to have misappropriated the reward fund.

Matale SSP Tilak Abeysiriwardene interdicted them after a preliminary inquiry into the incident. The suspects were to be produced in court yesterday. (M. W. Somartatne)
