Explosion kills two children

Two children in Mullaidi, in Palai police area were killed in a mortar explosion last evening (25). The two boys had been playing with the mortar which they hadfound in the home garden.

Inquiries revealed that it dropped on the floor and exploded when they carried it into the house. Their parents had been away from home at the time of the incident. The victims were identified as Mohanun (07) and Thamil Ruban (04). (Romesh Madusanka )
