Elections for sports Assns. Postponed: HRC

The election of office bearers for Handball and Badminton Association had been postponed due to complaint made to The Human Rights Commission, Chairman Human Rights Commission Justice Priyantha R.P. Perera said.

The elections, scheduled to be held on March 28, have now been postponed until the investigations are complete.

The HRC had asked the Director General of Sports to postpone the elections for Handball and Badminton Associations, following a complaint to the HRC which said that the conditions for the elections were not met.
