Eight protesters arrested over Manmohan's CHOGM visit

Eight people were arrested for illegally locking Central Government offices in Chennai last night, protesting against Indian Prime Minister's scheduled visit to Colombo to take part in Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, police sources said.

They had locked up five government offices in Nungambakkam, Triplicane, Royapuram and Anna Salai, they said.

Eight people from two outfits have been arrested in connection with the incidents, they said.
One of them was earlier arrested for attacking Sri Lankan tourists, they said. (NDTV)
